analysis of questionnaire

from giving out my questionnaire to 4 people, i got a good range of results.
all 4 liked the shape of my bottle.
3 out of 4 liked the wings on my bottle.
all 4 liked the clouds around the bottle.
3 out of 4 liked the styles and the colour of the writing on the advert.
- an improvement given from someone was to make the bottle look more like it was floating rather than just putting clouds underneath, it would add an extra effect.
- something someone said they partically liked was the bottle style and the basic colours so it wasnt in your face.
so from these answers i have been given ideas on how to improve the advert if i was to do it again and have also been given postivie feedback about what i did well aswell. these comments really have helped and i believe they will help me to improve to do another advert next time.

how does my advert fit all the CAP codes

my advert fits all the CAP codes because it is not offensive, for example it doesnt include race, sex, colour etc anything that can offend someone reading or looking at my advert. also it doesnt involve anything to do with alcohol or drugs because that would have t o be after a certain time but because mine doesnt include it then none of these apply. my advert alsofits well in with the CAP codes because it doesnt offend anyone in any way.

findings

the findings i found was that everyone generally liked the advert although someone said they would prefer the bottle to be bigger. and one person said they didnt like the wings, so that would be good information for me to improve on.

describe the technical skills you have gained

the technical skills i gained were: - learning how to use photoshop effectively - learning how to produce my advert with no problems - learning how to pick out images suitable for what im producing - learning how to use a digital camera effectively/uploading etc - learning how to use a mac and computer effectively.

photohop skills - i learnt how to crop, and make several layers to then cut and paste them onto my final product.
picking out images - i learnt to pick out specific images on the internet that would fit in with my advert perfectly
using the digital camera - i learnt how to use all of the buttons o the camera and new what each one was for and how to use it to take pictures for my advert and how to convet them onto the computer to put them onto my final advert.

describe two challenges you have overcome

1. using photoshop; this was a challenge because id had only used it once before last year and had completely forgotten what all the buttons were for and how to get what i needed to produce my advert. but after patience and a little bit of help i finally learnt how to use it again and constructed my perfume advert. 2. time; this was a challenge because i always leave things to the last minute, therefore i had a tone of work i needed to catch up on before i could even produce my advert, but after all that was done it still took me a while to even produce m advert because im so bad at ballancing time, but i finally completed it.

do you think your product is suitable for your target audience

yes, i think my product is definatly suitable for my target audience as i didnt change anything that could of effected this. the style, the colours and layout is exactly how i planned it to be to suit my age group therefore it fits in perfectly with my target audience and i definatly wouldnt change that.

how has technology helped you turn your design into a real product

technology was used for the whole of turning my design into an actual product. for example i used a computer, photoshop, continuous search engines, and endless websited for help. photoshop was the main technology used in making my product as this is how i made it come to life, it took plenty of patience but its finally how i wanted it. i used google and google images to help me with finding a decent looking perfume bottle which i could then extend to make it how i wanted it by using photoshop. i also used google to help me find a regular size pair of angel wings which i could then fit onto my bottle to complete the advert. the computer was used throughout making my advert aswell as the search enginges.

how does your finished product compare to your design

my finished product wasnt exactly how i designed it, although only a few features changed. for example, i changed the shape of the bottle from an zig zag shape to an overall shape simply because the wings fitted better on it and made it look more realisic. i also changed how i was going to set the title 'bonjour' out, instead of having it in a straight line above the bottle i changed it to being diagonal coming down near the bottle. i also changed the brand name to 'vie' because it fitted in more with the french theme.
